Well today's another good day. It's been almost a week. I think we're going to have a good surprise soon! Well cross your fingers and let's hope.

On another note, Christmas shopping is very hectic. There is no Bee Movie to buy anywhere. Damn movie that we need. Other than that, I am so glad there's no snow in our forecast.
Oh the little things in life to be happy about.

National Cupcake Day!

It's national cupcake day today. I found out from a friend.
Now I am dreaming of these...

Espresso and Brown Butter Cupcakes

I bet they taste awesome.

Been sick & other things

I've been sick. My one weekend away (where I've been home alone since July), I was sick. That sucked. Turns out I have a sinus infection. Great news. Better that I now have antibiotics.

I did get some things done on my scrapbook weekend. THat was good.

I did also find out that the house we wanted and tried to buy did sell, and barely for anything more than we were offering. A whole new feeling of being mad again kicked in. That sucked.

Something I saw....and totally agree with!!!

I saw this on a friend's facebook page:

*For as much as I am a people-person, I'm finding it harder and harder to like people. Some people just REALLY REALLY SUCK! so there.*

I feel the same way. I like everyone, but am constantly feeling judged. I am not really sure what this person is referring to in their post, however; I have been there...and I guess you could say I am there. I just don't understand why friends are not as supportive as you'd think they would be, or why people that you're friends with aren't really on your side to back you up. There are all these so called friends, and what I've noticed is that there are a lot of people who are not really your friends. It's just sad to think at my age that I am still dealing with high school crap even though I am this old? Wow...that's sad, scary...and unfortunate. Or why it's not even good to explain how you feel or anything going on in your world because you don't want it back to bite you.
I can only hope for the best, and hope more people can get along.
And if you hate me, or just don't like me or just want to judge me...can you do this on your own time without me knowing? That would be appreciated.
That's all.

Owen Wilson's voice reading through my daily activities...

Not to mention my daily routine like John Grogan does in Marley & Me, but I think I am going to anyway. So you may hear Owen Wilson's voice while reading this....perhaps you can invision when he's going through everything super fast in the beginning of the movie with Marley.

The last few weeks and or months have been going by very fast. It seems life is just flying by.
Most days we wake up, get ready for school, drive crazily to get to school and or walk fastly so we get to school on time, drive to get coffee, say hello to the kind lady or guy I am buying from at D&D coffee, run home, make some comments to students, get Eva dressed, chase Eva to get her dressed, get dressed into some type of work out clothes, run to the gym, drop Eva off at Kidzone, go to bootcamp or some crazy workout, p/u Eva from KZ, run some errands, run to Target, typically run home, clean house, make more comments to students, put the wiggles on for Eva, feed Eva some lunch, help Eva with the potty, let Eva flush, watch some mindless tv while eating some lunch, put Eva down for a nap, organize, more comments to students, sometimes some live critiques to students, reorganize, at times try and run down and pick up Delaney from school, other times then running to activities/drive carpool.... like Monday-Orchestra, Tuesday-Newspaper or Earth Helper's, Wednesday CCD or Art or home school CCD, Thursday-Gymnastics, Fridays-Girl Scouts, Saturdays-Tennis, Sundays-Diving, we run to the TJ's, we run more errands, do homework, grade students' work, make more comments, read stories, put the girls to bed, and do more work and start the whole day over.....on a good day I also get to create some art in there for good measure. Too bad it doesn't fit in everyday.

There's been a lot of things happening or not happening around here for sure. Some days are crazier than others, no time to breathe really, and somehow we manage to get everything done.

What I know is I have a good life. I am very lucky, I have a wonderful husband, 2 great kids, 2 cats and some fish. I am very happy, and things couldn't be better.

Beehive hairdo making a come back??

I saw a lady at the gym today working out, she had a beehive...I obviously looked utterly disgusting and dishoveled as can be...but after seeing this lady wonders if I would work out more elegantly if I had my sprayed up beehive...oh if only...if only I had a beehive.

My Gramma had a beehive, it was awesome...she always looked so good with her hair up. I swear this is what I need to do...I need a beehive!
:)

what I say

Had another epiphony....

really anything I say is ridiculous...so you can't really worry about what I say.

and my disclaimer is this...if something that comes out of my mouth offends you...that's not what I intended!

Please know I mean no harm.

That's all.

Warmer October weather :)

The weather's warmed up a little here, so everything is seeming rather awesome.
Nothing like a little warmer weather in October to cheer people up.
Today, Eva and I went to a little farm with Madie & Karen. It was fun to see the little animals.
Ev ran around all over the place...per usual. Good times were had by all. Or at least I think so.

I will try and post some pictures soon, as I know pictures are just as important as the story.
I hope Chicagoland continues to have such nice 60 degree weather. Seems like we haven't seen the 60's since the second week of September. I am so glad the sun is shining a bit, and it's not raining today.

My husband and I really fell in love with a house. We watched this house for the last few months, and finally put an offer in, trying to negotiate and buy a house. Long story, and not a good one, short we didn't get the house. Pretty disappointing when it's something you really wanted. I hope there is another house in our neighborhood for us.

Julie & Julia

I just saw the movie Julie & Julia with some friends. I loved all the writing going on in the movie...it has inspired me to start really blogging. I had good intentions of starting before, but then life sort of got in the way. Sad, but true.

Overall, today was a great day, but a long day. Luke was home for a few hours, which was great. Although, he slept most of those hours he was home. Eva and I walked to town. I fear this may be one of the last nice days to do that. I'm really not ready for colder weather. I would love the 70's to stay. Everyone keeps talking about how they're so excited for fall. I would be excited for some nice sunny days to stay...well, if they do stay, I'd be more awake....as I am not awake on these gloomy days.
That aside, day was good...busy...and although we missed the parade because Eva actually napped...it was good to see friends out and about.

I enjoyed the movie Julie and Julia. I hope I can continue the blog, and maybe be inspired to cook better too? Shouldn't be too much to ask for right? I suppose this could be pretty ambitious.
